The New York State Fiscal Year 2025 Budget will officially end the paid COVID-19 isolation and quarantine leave requirement, taking effect July 31, 2025.
Employees in the state will not be entitled to paid time off for COVID-19 leave due to a precautionary or mandatory order of isolation or quarantine due to COVID-19. However, employees may use other paid leave, such as paid sick leave.
