New Team Calendar Features
Time-Off Request Employee Calendar Updates
A new page in the Time-Off Request Employee Calendar gives your employees options and allows management to place restrictions. These include: display options for both “My Calendar” and “Team Calendar”, upcoming absence reminder notifications, and restrictions on requesting time off on specific dates or days of the week.
The calendar view has been renamed “My Calendar” for employees. My Calendar displays information pertaining to the selected employee, including approved/pending/processed time-off requests, holidays, restricted days, and schedules. Your employees can now print the full month, week, or day calendar that includes all of the updated functionality. Additional setup is required for this functionality. Class-Action Risk to Businesses from New Consumer Privacy Laws
New California consumer privacy laws which have the potential to set off a wave of class-action litigation against businesses go into effect January 1, 2020.
The California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA) [1]allows consumers to demand that businesses tell them exactly what personal information the business has collected about them. Consumers will also have the right to prohibit businesses from selling their personal information (also known as “opting out”). Additionally, businesses cannot discriminate against consumers that opt out by charging them more or denying service to consumers who exercise these rights.
